From Childhood Friends to Forever Love:

Alicia and Gus’s Journey at OLGC

Once upon a time, nestled within the halls of Our Lady of Good Counsel (OLGC) school, a bond quietly began to form between two young hearts, Alicia Ward and Gus Partington. Little did they know that their shared journey would blossom into a beautiful love story, culminating in a magical wedding day surrounded by wildflowers and cherished memories.

Their tale began in the classrooms of OLGC, where Alicia graduated in 2013 and Gus moving to another school in 2011. Despite spending their early years in different classes, their hearts were drawn together from the start. Alicia fondly remembers their persistent attempts to be placed in the same class each year, a ritual fuelled by the hope of being closer to one another.

It wasn’t until year 4 that fate finally smiled upon them, aligning their paths in the same classroom. The moment Gus turned with an infectious smile upon discovering they would finally share the same space; Alicia knew there was something special between them.

Fast forward to Friday, 3 May 2024, where Alicia and Gus exchanged vows amidst the picturesque setting of Growwild Wildflower Farm in Alpine, NSW. Surrounded by the vibrant colours of nature, they sealed their commitment to a lifetime of love and companionship.

Their honeymoon was a dreamy escape to Thailand and Singapore, where they indulged in eight blissful nights in Thailand before basking in the vibrant energy of Singapore for three more nights.

Now, as they embark on this new chapter of their lives, Alicia, Gus, and their adorable Cavoodle, Millie, are carving out their own happily ever after. For Alicia, Gus, and the entire OLGC community, their love story serves as a reminder of the enduring power of childhood dreams and the beauty of finding love where least expected.

As they continue to build their lives together, Alicia and Gus remain grateful for the foundation laid at OLGC, where their love story first began.
