CHILDREN’S CLOTHING APPEAL FOR AFRICAN REFUGEES
OLGC is conducting an appeal for good quality, clean clothing for children from the ages of 2 years to 15 years, to donate to the children of African refugees living in Australia. Clothing for boys and girls is required.
The clothing can be delivered to the office before school, where it will be picked up twice a week and taken straight to those in need.
This initiative follows the visit to the school last year by a lovely Ugandan couple, Morris & Teddy, who have spearheaded this work for over 6 years, for which they recently received an award from the Australian Government.
Please ensure that the clothing is clean and in good condition as it will be distributed directly to families in need.
Thank you in anticipation for your generosity.
Well done to Zoe N who participated in the Kids Giving Back program September/October holiday program.
Zoe Helped Create along with 900 other participants:
- More than 7,500 meals and care packs (including hot meals, salads, fruit kebabs, breakfast boxes, lunch boxes, snack cups, and care packs with empathetic messages) were distributed to 21 charities around Sydney.
Their outstanding leadership, empathy, and civic commitment are truly inspiring and a reflection of your school’s core values. I sincerely thank you and your students for their contributions and encourage you to celebrate their achievements within your school community.
Our school community can support those in need by taking up any of the below opportunities!
